Winter has its pros and cons. It’s filled with fun holidays, snow days, and comfort foods, but ’tis the season for dry, parched skin. It is crucial to incorporate some ultra moisturizing products into your skincare routine so you can keep your skin looking and feeling it’s best. Here are a few of my favorite winter skincare additions worth adding to your lineup.
Jojoba Oil
Words cannot describe how much I love Jojoba Oil, but I’ll give it a shot. I use this oil year-round, but it truly saves my skin (and hair!) in the winter. I apply this every night on top of all my moisturizers and serums. Always apply oils on top! Just a few drops and your skin will soak this up. Even for you oily girls, this will provide your skin with good oils and will keep bad oils at-bay. I get mine from my local TJMaxx or Marshalls for super cheap. Give this oil a chance and your skin with thank you for it.
Hyaluronic Acid
Hyaluronic Acid is an essential to any skincare routine, no matter the time of year. In fact, many anti-wrinkle creams have this as the #1 ingredient. Using on its own does wonders for your skin. It provides hydration to the skin and lets your skin let out its natural glow, which is a very good thing in my opinion.
Dove DermaSeries Gentle Cleansing Face Wash
It’s so important to ensure you are using a face wash that doesn’t strip your skin of all moisture — all the more crucial in the winter. This creamy face wash, new to the Dove skincare brand, gets all the dirt and grime off your face but doesn’t leave your skin feeling hydrated. And it’s perfect for people with eczema and psoriasis-prone skin. Sounds like a winner to me!
Cetaphil Daily Facial Moisturizer
This tried-and-true moisturizer needs to be your go-to winter day face lotion. The gentle ingredients won’t clog your pores and leaves your skin feeling SO soft and smooth. And with SPF 15 (yes, you should still wear SPF in the winter!), this is a face lotion that will do you no wrong.
What do you do to keep your skin feeling healthy and fresh during the cold months? Let me know!
