Healthy Strawberry-Apple Green Smoothie

I’ll be honest with you — I used to not be on the green smoothie train. It seemed like a fad that everyone was soon to get over. But making healthy green smoothies as a pick-me-up or nutrient-packed meal option has been around for quite awhile and doesn’t seem to be going anywhere. Green smoothies are a great, easy way to pack in a ton of veggies and fruits into your diet with very little effort. Just sip away while sitting at your desk at work or after a early morning workout. Before you know it, you’ve covered your needed fruits and veggies for the day.

Although I love experimenting with different additions to my green smoothies, this Healthy Apple-Strawberry Green Smoothie is my go-to. It’s absolutely delicious, packed with minerals and vitamins, and includes 5 servings of fruits and veggies. Five a day is easily covered with this healthy apple-strawberry green smoothie. Healthy Apple-Strawberry Green Smoothie

Ingredients

Healthy green smoothie recipe

  • 4 cups of Spinach (I know it sounds like a lot, but trust me.)
  • 1 Apple (I used a Gala apple.)
  • 5-7 Strawberries, large
  • 3-4 dried Dates
  • 2 Tbsp Flax Seeds
  • 2 Tsp Agave Nectar (or Honey)
  • 5 Oz. Plain Greek Yogurt
  • 1 Cup Unsweetened Almond Milk (or regular milk)
  • ½ Cup Ice
  • 1 scoop Vanilla Protein Powder (optional)

Instructions (Or lack thereof)

  1. Add all of the above ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth.
  2. Enjoy all those vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants!
