Christmas Gift Wrapping Theme: Black and White Buffalo Print & Green Pinecones

on

I am a firm believer in a gift wrapping theme. It’s just so nice having a cohesive look to all of your presents. It makes you really look like you have it together. Since I love a good gift wrapping theme, it’s something that I look forward to every year. Picking out coordinating wrapping papers, finding complimentary ribbons, and scouring the craft store shelves for the perfect gift topper, like a sprig of fir or festive jingle bells is a task that truly makes me happy.

This year, I wanted to share my gift wrapping theme with you all to hopefully give you some inspiration for your gift wrapping theme. Compared to previous years, this year’s theme is slightly less traditional but it’s equally as stunning. My main goal was to do a black and white buffalo print wrapping paper. It’s super chic and can easily be jazzed up to fit the season. I found the perfect black and white buffalo print wrapping paper on Amazon and also found some very comparable paper at Marshalls.

With my theme-inspiring buffalo print paper in hand, I knew I wanted to do green as my designated Christmas color instead of red. I usually always go for red so green was the way to go this year. I found the most stunning green and white pinecone-printed wrapping paper from Target and immediately bought 3 rolls. It was a printed paper that complimented the buffalo print perfectly. The best part about this paper was that the pinecone prints were slightly raised, adding an unexpected element that elevated the gift. For my last paper, I grabbed some black and white, Christmas greeting wrapping paper from the mecca that is the Target dollar section. Seeing as how much I spent on the other rolls, the dollar section paper was a welcomed addition to the lineup.

For the ribbon, I wanted to do white and green to ensure the theme continued past the paper. At JoAnns, I picked up green satin ribbon of varying widths and sheer white ribbon. The great part about doing the white ribbon was that it would go with EVERYTHING, but the sheer material gave it a softness that was perfect for the buffalo print paper.

Last but not least, I went for some simple gift toppers – small white flowers that kind of look like white poinsettia blooms from JoAnn’s. It went so well with all of the gifts and gave it that extra touch of pizazz.

What do you think of the wrapping theme this year? Are you a crazy person like me and do a theme? If so, what’s your theme this year? I’d love to hear all about it in the comments below.
