Easy Spring Makeup Tutorial (Video)

IT’S THE FIRST DAY OF SPRING! I’m so excited – can you tell? Being on the cusp of Spring and warmer weather, I’ve been getting in the spirit with new fashion and makeup for the new season. With the transition of seasons, your style and look is bound to change up and get a refresh. So far, mine has been my makeup. I’ve been doing some more simple looks and going for more glowy skin. It’s a beautiful change from the Winter makeup looks I was leaning more towards – bolder eye looks and matte skin. Here is one of my current favorite Spring makeup looks that is simple, clean, glowy, and easy. Let me know some of your favorite makeup change-ups that you do for Spring in the comments below!

Starting off, I applied the Wet N Wild Photo Focus Matte Primer. Although this look is a bit more glowy, i still have oily/combo skin so I need a little something in order to keep unwanted shine at bay. To keep it still looking fresh, I spritzed a touch of Trader Joe’s Rose Water. For my foundation, I used a combination of the Bare Minerals Pro foundation in Aspen and the new L’Oreal Infallible Freshwear foundation in the shade 420. This combo gives a perfect touch of glow and the coverage I need. If you only want to go for one, I’d recommend the L’oreal Infallible Freshwear foundation. It really is an awesome drugstore foundation. I applied my foundation combo with an EcoTools makeup sponge and followed that up with my Colourpop No Filter Concealer in Light 10 under the eyes.

For powder, I used my favorite Covergirl Trublend Translucent powder in Light. I start by using a small amount on my sponge on my t-zone. This will also ensure that oils stay at bay. Next, I bronze up with the Maybelline City Bronzer in the shade 100. This bronzer is amazing – go buy it now and thank me later. To add some rosiness to my cheeks, I use the tried-and-true Milani Rose D’Ore Baked Blush. This blush has been in the game for YEARS and it’s still so good. Lastly for the skin, I add some glow with the Wet N Wild Colour Icon Highlighter in Reserve Your Cabana. I cannot tell you how beautiful this highlight is. It is subtle but it gives you the healthiest, glow from within look that is actually to-die-for.

On to the brows! I use a neutral matte brown shade, Talk, within the Morphe 25B Bronze Mocha Palette to fill in my brows. For the eyes, I continue to use the same Morphe Palette and use Truth, a light peachy shade, all over the crease. Next to Truth is Speechless, a burnt, but bright orange shade and I work this in the crease. For some added glow and shimmer, I apply the shade Character, a bright pinky peachy shimmer all over the lid. To deepen up the look a bit, I apply the shade Most in the outer crease. For the lower lash line (which is an absolute must for any eye look, by the way), I apply the shade Butter all along the lash line to give the look a bit more drama. For liner, I use the shade Taken from the Morphe 9A palette and apply it along the top lash line. For the best part, mascara, I use my tried-and-true, favorite of all time L’Oreal Lash Paradise. And for lips, I wanted to go simple so I apply some EOS Mint lip balm.

Overall, I love this look and it is fresh, easy, and pretty. Let me know what your favorite Spring makeup looks are!
