If you haven’t already figured it out yet, I love skincare. I love putting makeup to the test and creating beautiful makeup looks, but having great, healthy skin makes a huge difference. You’ll never see me go to bed with makeup on or see me skip out on my SPF and you shouldn’t either — your skin is too important to not take care of. So I put some time, effort, and a little experimentation into my skincare routine. I’m always trying out new things to see what works well for my skin. Not too long ago, I came across a new skincare range called Botanics Skincare. Little did I know that it was the new natural skincare range from No7, the popular European skincare brand. With a low price point and multiple ranges catering to any skin issue, this brand sparked my interested so much that I had to experiment with a few of their products and share it. For my skin, I wanted to try out their “All Bright” range. During spring, I want my skin to be bright and glowy so I knew this was the range for me. Some products were hits, others were misses. If you’re interested in this brand and skincare range, give this a read to see which products are worth it experimenting with.
Botanics All Bright Cleansing Facial Wipes
Facial wipes — the lazy girl’s answer to removing makeup. As I said before, I always take off my makeup before bed, but I may want to lay in bed and watch This Is Us while I do it. Can you blame me?! So what I look for in facial/makeup removing wipes is something that is well saturated, removes all my makeup (including my eye makeup), and doesn’t irritate my skin. For the Botanics All Bright Cleansing Facial Wipes, they only fulfilled 1.5 of those requirements. They aren’t very wet, which makes taking off eye makeup a little bit of a pain. However, they didn’t irritate my skin. Overall, they didn’t quite hit the mark for me for taking off makeup. I’ve started using these in the morning to refresh and quickly cleanse my skin. I like them much better this way. Overall, I think these are good, but not great. It definitely depends how you intend to use them. Plus, they are only $5. Not too shabby for a morning cleansing wipe! If you do want a better makeup remover, they also sell Micellar Water and Eye Makeup Remover.
Botanics All Bright Cleansing Foam Wash
Next step — cleansing. With any cleanser, I need it to check a few boxes: it needs to sud up nicely, not have an obnoxious scent, and not leave my skin feeling dry. I must say, this cleanser checked all my boxes. It has a subtle, slightly floral scent, it foams gloriously, and doesn’t strip my skin of all moisture. It suits my combo skin perfectly and I can see it working for oily and dry skin, too. It’s also helped my acne quite a bit. I get fewer blemishes than I used to and my acne scarring is slowly-but-surely disappearing. Pick this guy up if you’re on the hunt for a new cleanser!
Botanics All Bright Cleansing Toner
If there is any single product to pick up from this range, this is the one. This toner has changed my skincare game for good. For the first time ever, my pores are actually disappearing. I’ve used pore-minimizing products for years, but I’ve never been able to see results. This cleansing toner is the only thing that’s ever made a visible difference. I would easily call this product a dupe for the ever-so-popular Pixi Glow Tonic and it’s half the price. And with this product added to my skincare routine, it quickly helps diminish any blemishes that pop up. Go to Ulta now and get this toner. This has quickly become my favorite skincare item and it’ll become yours too.
