Product Review: Pantene Micellar Shampoo & Conditioner

We all love micellar water — it easily removes our makeup and leaves our skin feeling refreshed. But what about micellar water for your hair? You may think it’s crazy, but the hair professionals at Pantene thought of it and created one-of-a-kind micellar shampoo and conditioner. To see if micellar shampoo and conditioner was the haircare of the future, I tested out the products for a few weeks to give you an idea if it’s the hair cleansing products you need in your life.

On Pantene’s website, they claim that the formula is an innovative blend of antioxidants and nourishing vitamins that you can use every day. Every…day. I know I’m not the only girl who cringes at the thought of washing my hair every day. I wash my hair every other day and it works well for my hair type. Plus, hair stylists usually recommend minimizing how much you wash your hair to avoid drying it out. But there are those people that need to wash their hair every day. If you’re one of those people, this may be the ideal hair care for you. I find that it is very gentle, so I can see this being a great, everyday-use hair care line. But for my every-other-day needs, it’s almost too gentle. I will wash my hair at night and by the next evening, my hair looks more oily than it normally does within that time frame. But I can’t knock it for it being too gentle for every-other-day use — I mean, it does say it’s gentle enough for everyday use. So if you are one of those people that like to or have to wash your hair every day, this shampoo and conditioner will be perfect for your needs.

Things that I loved about this shampoo and conditioner was how much it lathered up. I have tried before, but I can’t get behind shampoos that don’t get sudsy. I need suds! It’s an essential part of making my hair feel even cleaner and this shampoo does just that. The sudsy goodness might be something that is essential for you, too. And the conditioner feels smooth and leaves my hair feeling silky. As a supplement to the conditioner, I use the Trader Joe’s Shea Butter Hair Mask once a week to keep my hair ultra-healthy. Lastly, the scent is your classic Pantene scent, but it seems a touch fresher — almost a clean linen scent. I love the scent of these products. It’s a clean, not overly fragrant scent.

Overall, I’m onboard for micellar shampoo and conditioner. I would love to see what other goodies brands can think of adding a micellar twist to.

Have you tried the Pantene Micellar Shampoo and Conditioner? What were your thoughts? What are your favorite shampoos and conditioners? Let me know!
