Let’s get real for a second…we all suffer from second or third-day hair every once in a while. Maybe even fourth or fifth-day hair, but we don’t need to go into much detail on that one. But it happens to all of us. And luckily dry shampoo was invented to help prevent all of us from looking like a greasy mess. Thank you dry shampoo, inventor. We are forever in your debt. Personally, dry shampoo is a regularly used hair care product. I use it almost every day, whether it’s for added volume to freshly washed hair or to revive my second-day locks. I even tried a bunch of dry shampoos for my Walmart Beauty Box blog post and found some good ones, but I’m always up for trying more.
Ever since Love Beauty and Planet hit the shelves, I’ve been a big fan of the brand. I use their shampoo and conditioner, so it only made sense to try out their dry shampoo, too. I picked up their Volume and Bounty Juicy Grapefruit Day 2 Dry Shampoo and Radical Refresher Citrus Peel Uplifting Dry Shampoos. Here are how these dry shampoos stacked up.
From the start, I love the packaging. It’s sleek and colorful. I love the Love Beauty and Planet packaging in general and these dry shampoos win in that category. Both of the dry shampoos have refreshing citrus scents. The scents are quite delightful and smell super clean — perfect for not-so-clean hair. As for the actual product and how well it works, believe me when I say you can count on these dry shampoos to make your hair look clean, smell great, and even give you some volume. That volume happens to be why I love these dry shampoos so much. It really does give my hair body when it needs it most.
Another great part about the Love Beauty Planet Dry Shampoos is that they are good for the planet. The ingredients are vegan, ethically sourced, and free of silicons and dyes. They also aren’t tested on animals and are safe for color-treated hair. All of Love Beauty Planet’s products feature this lineup of product pros and it’s truly awesome. I will say, the only noticeable difference between the Volume and Bounty Juicy Grapefruit Day 2 Dry Shampoo and the Radical Refresher Citrus Peel Uplifting Dry Shampoo was the scent. They both worked really well to soak up any excess oils and they gave my hair some much-needed volume.
